The Program
The Emerson Theater Collaborative is looking for schools to join us using the exciting learning tool of live theater to engage your students and make literature and history come to life. Southeastern Connecticut's newest professional theater now offers quality educational programming at a reasonable and affordable rate.
Since our inception in April 2008, we have looked for new ways to connect with the community at large. With the launching of our educational program, we will continue to provide quality entertainment and educational opportunities to area schools by bringing the entertainment to you.
In November 2008, we presented Introducing Mr. Charles Dickens, a one-man show about the life and works of the renowned author, Charles Dickens. In March 2009, to honor Black History Month and Women’s History Month ETC successfully produced Harriet2two one-women shows including Harriet Tubman’s Dream, about the life of Harriet Tubman and Aunt Hattie’s House, about the life of Harriet Beecher Stowe. Each woman in her own way helped to bring about the end of slavery in America.
An important part of our programming is making theater accessible to area schools, students and educators. You and your students can participate; by booking:
