The Emerson Theater Collaborative is looking for schools to join us using the exciting learning tool of live theater to engage your students and make literature and history come to life. Southeastern Connecticut's newest professional theater now offers quality educational programming at a reasonable and affordable rate.
Since our inception in April 2008, ETC has looked for new ways to connect with the community at large. In November 2008 we presented Introducing Mr. Charles Dickens, which was written and performed by the critically acclaimed actor Albert Cremin. To honor Black History Month and Women's History Month, ETC successfully produced Harriet2 (as in Tubman and Beecher Stowe) in March of 2009. An important part of our programming is making theater accessible to area schools, students and educators. You and your students can participate; by booking:
An accounting of the events that compelled Harriet Beecher Stowe to pen Uncle Tom's Cabin
Harriet2 includes Harriet Tubman's Dream and Aunt Hattie's House as an assembly.
Discounts are available for multiple bookings. Please call for more information.
We hope you will be able to take the opportunity to use the exciting learning tool of live theater to engage your students and make literature and history come to life. For further information please contact us at (860) 705-9711 or e-mail us at education@emersontheatercollaborative.org
